Gum treatments

A healthy mouth starts with healthy gums. But gums are vulnerable and plaque and calculus can cause inflammations. Periodontitis is a chronic infection, that affects the bone around a tooth. It does not hurt, so many people don’t realise they suffer from it.

Bleeding gums, bad breath or even loose teeth – they are signs something is wrong. It starts with bacteria causing an inflammation in the gum line. This inflammation – gingivitis – can spread to the jaw bone, loosening the gums from the teeth. In the space that is created, plaque is formed, driving the inflammation deeper and deeper into the jaw. If this is the case, you have periodontitis and it will not heal without help. Our specialised team of dental hygienists will prepare a custom-made treatment plan to fight the inflammation and make your mouth healthy again.
